Lets admit it. We all have too many clothes in our wardrobe. Only wearing a select few. So what about the rest? Too small? Damaged? Sentimental attachment?
Bring your ill-fitting, out-of-style, in need of repair, or unwanted clothes and give them a new life at our Swap and Stitch event! Whether you're looking to refresh your wardrobe or learn new skills, this is for you.
Here’s how it works:
Clothes Swap: Bring gently used clothing that you no longer wear. Swap them for something new-to-you and give your wardrobe a sustainable makeover.
Repair & Customising: Not ready to part with your clothes just yet? Bring your ill-fitting or damaged items and learn how to repair or customise them! Our skilled experts will be on hand to guide you through everything from simple repairs, visible/invisible mending, to creative customisations that will turn your clothes into one-of-a-kind pieces.
What to Bring:
Clothes you want to swap (gently used and in good condition)
Clothes in need of repair or alteration
A desire to learn and have fun!
Our skilled facilitators will be there every step of the way to teach and assist, ensuring that you leave with both "new to you" clothes and new skills.

    English:

Sometimes you buy something that doesn't quite fit you. Sometimes your favorite pants rip at the worst possible moment. Sometimes things just don't go as planned... and that's perfectly okay! Do you have clothes in your closet that you don't wear? Bring them along and give them a second life!

Every 5 minutes, 1 million items of clothing are made, less than 1 percent is recycled. In addition, the fashion industry is responsible for 2 to 8 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions. These are staggering figures that prove how important it is to make your wardrobe more sustainable.

During the Miskoop Markt, you can creatively reuse your clothes. Admission and participation in the workshops are free.

My name is Ana Ibarra, I organize free clothing swaps and workshops in Toronto, Ontario. Currently, I work as a teacher in community centers. This year, I am starting as a Remake ambassador, and I will also begin working with Autism Ontario.

We are a Mexican family with a child on the autism spectrum, born in Canada. The high cost of therapies has made us reflect on what truly matters—it's better to repair and reuse clothing than to contribute to more pollution. I studied fashion design in my home country, and since my native language is Spanish, I can help spread this message not only to the Canadian community but also to the Latin American community living in Canada.
